For communication purposes, computer ports are used that govern the traffic
between server and clients. A firewall can seriously hinder the performance of
the program if your own computer is not seen as trusted. This is even true
for a server and a client installed on the same computer.
If you have Norton Internet
Security installed as firewall, follow these steps to make your computer 'trusted'.
ad 1) To find the address of your computer:
Taskbar: Start | Command.
Enter: Cmd. Ok. Dos prompt appears.
Enter: IPConfig.
Make a note of the IP-address.
ad 2) Add it as trusted computer
Start: Norton Internet Security
Select: Status and settings
Select: Personal firewall
Press button: Configure
Select: Tab Networking
Add IP-address to your trusted computers
